Postshow Q&A with subject Martin Bisi
A double feature! In Sound and Chaos: The Story of BC Studio (2014) gentrification threatens to boot Martin Bisi, veteran producer/engineer of artists like Sonic Youth, Swans, Brian Eno and Herbie Hancock, out of his Brooklyn neighborhood. Ten years later, in BC45 (2026), Bisi is still recording albums and celebrating a big milestone, the 45th anniversary of his studio with a crop of new and longtime New York City bands.
This screening is followed by a live performance by the Martin Bisi Band & John and Dan at the Avalon Lounge. The “Movie and Show” ticket includes admission to both events.
